Bio of William Wyatt:
William Wyatt started his solo career in 1996, after buying his first guitar with high school graduation money. Wyatt went on to play in front of audiences right away, he began performing at open mics as well as gigging solo at bars and clubs throughout Kalamazoo, MI.
In 1999 Wyatt recorded his first album Go Anywhere an acoustic compilation of his first years as a singer/songwriter. It was not long after that Wyatt decided to try his luck in Nashville, Tennessee. Though he learned a lot from Music Row, Wyatt decided Nashville was not the place where his dreams would come true at least not at that time. Returning home to Michigan Wyatt took his experiences from the journey and converted them into his next album, Point of View. Wyatt hired studio musicians and completed the project in 2001. It was only a year later that yet another original release, the self-titled William Wyatt was created and released. With enough material to fill an entire live show Wyatt took to the stage full-time, playing live has become his way of life.
The band that backs William Wyatt is composed of very talented and skilled musicians, both seasoned professionals and American Federation of Musicians (AFM) members. The instrumentation of the William Wyatt Band is lead guitar, bass guitar, drums/percussion, and harmony vocals are added by one or more of the band members. Though most of his time on stage is spent with a full band behind him, Wyatt still enjoys playing solo acoustic gigs. He takes these rare opportunities to hone his skills as a singer/songwriter and try out new material.
Encompass Records LLC is the exclusive booking agent for William Wyatt, they are currently adding new venues with a more expansive territory. William Wyatt now travels nationally with international tours being planned. Many festivals and concerts were added to the 2004 season which has introduced William Wyatt and his band to an entirely new audience. With a new fan base on the rise William Wyatt is bound for more successful days to come. His hard work, persistence, and raw talent have proven that though it isnt easy to make a life of music-it sure is worth it.
